About Holden Park

Our Goal

Working within the government approved Early Years Framework (EYFS), Holden Park provides a safe and secure environment for children to achieve excellent care and education. In partnership with parents we create a stimulating environment where every child’s unique interest is identified and met.

Our pre-school is a wonderful place where children PLAY, LEARN and GROW.

Education and care in Holden Park in based on the ideology that children excel by participating in an environment where children and adults learn from each other and with each other.

The curriculum underpinned by the Early Years Foundation Stage Framework (EYFS) is delivered through a balance of both child and adult initiated play and activities. Our learning techniques is aimed at giving children the opportunity to explore and understand their environment in their own unique ways.

The EYFS principles that guide and underpin our practice are expressed in Four Themes:

  • A Unique Child – Every child is a unique child who is constantly learning and can be resilient, capable, confident and self-assured.
  • Positive Relationships – Children learn to be strong and independent through positive relationships.
  • Enabling Environment – Children learn and develop well in enabling environments, in which their experiences respond to their individual needs and there is a strong partnership between practitioners and parents and carers.
  • Learning and Development – Children develop and learn in different ways. The framework covers the education and care of all children in early years provision, including children with special educational needs and disabilities.
